Sinopse

Festejamos o 70.º aniversário de John Adams com Songs from the Wound-Dresser, poemas que Walt Whitman escreveu em 1865 e que John Adams descreve como sendo “simultaneamente explícitos e ternos, quiçá a memória mais íntima que Whitman viveu durante os seus anos de trabalho como enfermeiro voluntário em tempo de guerra”. A Sinfonia n.º 1 em Ré maior, de Mahler, também conhecida por Titã foi, a exemplo das suas muitas inovações sinfónicas, uma genuína mudança no género.
