Synopsis
The Violin Concerto in D minor, op. 61 composed by the immortal Beethoven and first heard in Vienna in 1806, will have as soloist the virtuoso Henning Kraggerud. James MacMillan, the composer of Seven last words from the cross commenting on this piece says that “ it becomes inspiring when we see someone crying in a Good Friday as if the death of Christ is a personal tragedy “.
